Ghosts and Haunted Mansion Nails

So I'm not thrilled with how this came together, but I tried!  I got my inspiration from searching #halloweennails on Instagram.  I used ideas from magnifiquenails, pinkiericegurl, and jamylyn_nails.

  • Paint all nails purple except pinky, that's white.
  • Use dotting tool for the white moon
  • Draw your house and bats with a striping tool
  • Use a small brush for the ghost
  • I used yellow acrylic paint so it would show better, then used the striping brush to make it look like a window and add details to the ghosts.
  • Surprisingly, the hardest nail looks like the easiest one (the pinky ghost)
Thanks for visiting :)

Halloween mummy and blood nails

I used a striper black nail polish for the stripes that I got from Walmart, I think it was around $5 and it works really well.

For the blood nails, I searched some tutorials on YouTube for "paint drop nails" and just kind of
 went from there, super easy.

For the eyes, I used a dotting tool.  You can use a pin, a toothpick, a pen/pencil, anything you have.

That's it!  It was pretty easy.  I mean, if I can do it, you can do it.  Thanks for looking :)

First part.  I took a dark color and just kept adding white to it so it would be in the same shade.
Then I cut out heart shapes on tape (kind of a pain) and added the white.  This would be much easier with a heart whole punch.  Of course, topped with my favorite Seche Vite top coat.

Nightmare Before Christmas Nails

So my son Connor has this random new obsession with Jack Skellington.  He wanted to be him for Halloween but I can't find any costumes for his age (3) and am not creative enough to make it myself.  So I figured this was a good theme since the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland just changed into their holiday theme with Jack and Zero the dog.  As you can tell, we are Disneyland frequenters!

Again, these are from my phone so the quality might not be too impressive.  I used mostly acrylic paint for this as it's easier to use for detailing in my opinion.  This one has a great video from lindsaysnails on YouTube.

Mickey Mouse Nails

So this is actually my second attempt at Mickey Mouse nail art.  The first one was when I was less experienced, but I will try to find that photo and add it.  I think these turned out cute for a nail noob!  I would say my biggest inspiration on this one was from elleandish on YouTube.  Then I added a few of my own adjustments.

The Mickey skin tone color was acrylic paint and the rest was polish.  I used a dotting tool and a nail art brush.  This is just a picture from my phone so it doesn't show it that great, but I think they look pretty good in person and I got some nice comments on our trip to Disneyland yesterday.  :)
